The Radiography Program at West Kentucky Technical College consists of instruction in specialized courses in radiography along with concentrated study in basic science, mathematics, and communication skills.

In addition to the classroom theory and laboratory practice, students receive clinical experiences in hospital and out-patient clinic setting.

Radiography prepares students to take the American Registry Examination in Radiography, and upon successful completion of the examination, to use the title of Registered Technologist (Radiographer) and to be employed as a Radiographer.

Careers in this area, such as Radiologic Technologist will be one of the fastest growing jobs over the next five years, as rated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Also, new and growing technology in diagnostic imaging equipment will necessitate an increase in job availability.
