| Dental Assisting
The Dental Assisting Program at West Kentucky Technical College prepares the student to function effectively as an integral member of the dental health team and to perform chair-side assisting and related office and laboratory procedures under the direct supervision of the dentist. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board Examination to become a Certified Dental Assistant. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, a specialized accrediting agency of the American Dental Association. Graduates of the Dental Assisting Program who choose to continue their education and are accepted for admission into a participating Community College Associate Degree Dental Hygiene Program will be awarded transfer credit hours. |
