Physical Therapist Assistant

Each applicant must present the following credentials by March 1 in order to be considered by the PTA Admissions Committee:

bulletApplication for admission
bulletACT/CPP scores
bulletOfficial transcript of all post-secondary education or training
bulletA pre-admission conference with Physical Therapist Assistant or Coordinator is required prior to an applicant’s consideration by the Admissions Committee.
bulletDocumentation of observation hours

Admission to the physical therapist assistant program is contingent upon completion of the first year of the approved curriculum with a grade of "C" or higher in each course.

Preference

 
bulletWill be given to applicants with an enhanced ACT composite of 19 or higher or the equivalent on the CPP
bulletWill be given to applicants with a college GPA of 3.0 or higher in mathematics, developmental psychology, biological and physical science course work in the first year of the approved curriculum
bulletWill be given to applicants who complete 24 hours of observation and/or experience (with at least four hours in a hospital physical therapy department) and who present evidence on the official observation/recommendation form provided by the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at PCC.
bulletWill be given to Kentucky residents.
