Health in Hazard is designed to meet the need for physical therapists in the rural

sciences (BHS) degree and a master of physical therapy (MSPT) degree by the
UK College of Allied Health. Graduates are eligible to take state licensure
examinations.

Students gain knowledge through coursework and acquire clinical experience through a series of rotations in both rural and urban settings. Admission Requirements Students must complete all pre-professional phase requirements prior to matriculation into the professional phase of the program. The application process includes the submission of both University of Kentucky and Center for Rural Health applications, college transcripts, GRE test scores, and three letters of recommendation.
