Program Mission Statement:

The St. Catharine Radiography Program is an associate degree program. The program curriculum is comprehensive in nature an allows students to develop technical competency, critical thinking, and problem solving skills through quality didactic and clinical education. The supporting environment allows students to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and for the patients to whom care is rendered.

Program Goals:

Radiologic Science is the health profession concerned with medical imaging for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Radiographers are the Radiologic Science professionals responsible for creating x-ray images of the human body using ionizing radiation. These professionals have a strong background in math and science as well as good interpersonal skills. They must understand and maintain knowledge in patient assessment, radiation biology and protection, human anatomy, radiation physics, and radiographic exposure. Radiologic Technologists can specialize in a particular imaging area like:
