Respiratory Care

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, students must meet the following:

bulletCompletion of BSL 110, Anatomy & Physiology I, (or MSU’s equivalent) with a C or better.
bulletMAH 151 or MA 109 (or MSU’s equivalent) with a C or better.
bulletStudents must submit the following by November 15:
bulletApplication for admission to college
bulletACT scores or equivalent
bulletRespiratory Care application
bulletDocumentation of observation hours
bulletOfficial transcripts of all post-secondary course work
bulletOfficial high school transcript or GED certificate
bulletDocumentation of attendance at a Respiratory Care pre-admission conference or meeting with a respiratory care program coordinator

In this consortium program, Rowan Technical College has joined with Ashland Community College, Maysville Community College and Morehead State University to offer respiratory care education which meets the standards of the Commission on the Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Students completing this program will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Care and be a registry-eligible Respiratory Therapist.

The student will complete all admission requirements, receive financial aid, register for classes, and pay tuition and fees at their home institution (Ashland CC, Maysville CC, or Morehead State University). The respiratory courses are simply offered at an extended campus of your home institution (Rowan Technical College) through an agreement between all institutions.
