Students wishing to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry and physical therapy can begin their studies with Pikeville College.  A science degree in Biology or Chemistry can provide a good foundation for professional studies in health care careers.  Students are encouraged to stay in close contact with their advisors and maintain a high GPA while developing strong study skills which will prepare them for the rigorous professional studies.
