Students planning a career in physical therapy may complete their pre-professional course work at NKU. They may then apply for admission to and, if accepted, transfer to an institution offering a degree in physical therapy. At the earliest opportunity, student should schedule an appointment with a faculty advisor to discuss minimum requirements. Students are accepted into the physical therapy programs at the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville without a bachelor’s degree. Those who complete one of these programs earn the degree of Bachelor of Health Science and the degree of Master of Science in physical therapy.

In addition to the required courses, certification in first aid and in CPR is required.
