The faculty of Biological Sciences advises individuals interested in medical technology and prepares students for careers in clinical laboratory medicine. Prior to pursuing certification in medical technology, students must complete all requirements for a general biology degree. In consultation with an advisor, student should carefully select courses to satisfy general studies requirements, requirements for the major in general biology, and entrance requirements into an affiliated hospital based program. Students must possess a bachelor’s degree before pursuing admission into a hospital-based medical technology program.
