Nursing Morehead State University offers a two year Associate Degree Nursing Program and a four year Baccalaureate Nursing Program. The Associate Degree Nursing Program combines general education studies with nursing theory and clinical education. The program is designed to prepare graduates for the role of the technical nurse. Graduates of the ADN program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The Baccalaureate Nursing Program consists of a pre-licensure and post-licensure components. The pre-licensure component is a four year program of study leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. General education studies are combined with professional nursing theory and clinical education to prepare graduates for the role of the professional nurse and to provide the foundation for graduate study. Graduates of the Pre-licensure component of the BSN program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The Baccalaureate Nursing Program - Post-licensure (RN Track) component of study leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from Morehead State University. General education studies are combined with professional nursing theory and clinical education. Graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs may apply for admission to the Post-licensure component of the BSN Program. Morehead State University and University of Kentucky offer a Cooperative Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program of study leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Morehead State University and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. Graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs may apply for admission. |
