Dietetic professionals work in healthcare, education, research, marketing, public relations, government, restaurant management, fitness, food companies, and in private practice. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of dietitians is expected to grow faster than the average profession through the year 2000, especially in the areas of community, consulting and business. The didactic program is an approved program and prepares students for a dietetic internship. Pre-professional Practice Program is a post-baccalaureate internship program in dietetics. Characteristics of the program are provides for achievement of performance requirement for entry level dietitian minimum of 900 hours supervised practice in various fields of dietetics accredited by the American Dietetic Association and, graduates are eligible to write the National Registry Examination for licensure as a Registered Dietitian. |
