The medical transcription program prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the field of medical transcription. A medical transcriptionist may pursue a career in a hospital setting, medical clinic, or private medical practice. In addition to the basic business courses such as computer fundamentals and word processing, required courses include anatomy and physiology and medical terminology.  Transcription skills are enhanced through the completion of several hours of in-class transcription. Also, participation in internships and practicums provide realistic training in the field of medical transcription.
