| Radiography
The Radiography program prepares the student to assume responsibilities and duties of a Radiologic Technologist. Radiographers are technical assistants to radiologists – a doctor who specializes in the use of x-rays for diagnostic and therapy purposes. The program prepares the student to expose radiographs, set up equipment, position the patient for examinations, and to utilize radiation protection for the patient and self. Students are also taught to perform surgical radiographic procedures, process radiographs, perform office procedures, managerial tasks, and limited supervisory activities. The technical courses are taken at MTC with articulated hours towards an associate degree at Madisonville Community College. Length: Two full years for a full-time student.
