Licensed Practical Nurses are an integral part of the health care delivery team. The LPN provides bedside nursing care to individuals with health problems. LPNs also act as health educators to members of the community who are ill and to those striving to maintain their good health. The work of the LPN is supervised by either a physician, dentist, or registered nurse.

The technical courses are taken at Madisonville Technical College with articulated hours towards an associate degree at Madisonville Community College.

Must have completed the Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry for admission into the program.

Length: The program is three semesters.

Prerequisites: Math, sciences, anatomy & physiology, communications.
