A one semester Certificate program with an emphasis on four-handed chair-side dental assisting. As a member of the dental health team, the dental assistant is expected to assist the dentist and perform administrative duties. The instruction provided through demonstration and laboratory practice focuses on the technical and administrative skills needed to be successful in a career as a dental assistant working in private dental offices.
