Henderson Community College

Associate Degree Nursing Program

The Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares graduates to provide and manage client care and to become members within the discipline of nursing. Graduates of the two-year program are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Kentucky Board of Nursing investigates all prior legal convictions before allowing graduates to take the NCLEX.

The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum is organized around a clearly defined conceptual framework which combines general education and nursing education. The nursing education courses correlate classroom and clinical instruction in a variety of community agencies.

Nursing students must possess the desire to serve others and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity.
