| Associate Degree Nursing Program
The Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares graduates to provide and manage client care and to become members within the discipline of nursing. Graduates of the two-year program are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Kentucky Board of Nursing investigates all prior legal convictions before allowing graduates to take the NCLEX. The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum is organized around a clearly defined conceptual framework which combines general education and nursing education. The nursing education courses correlate classroom and clinical instruction in a variety of community agencies. Nursing students must possess the desire to serve others and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity. Application Procedures Applicants must meet the following admission criteria prior to March 1 for consideration for the Summer (August) Semester and July 1 for consideration for the Fall (January) Semester.

Admission Preference may be given to applicants with the following credentials:
Applicants will be notified in writing of admission to the Nursing Program. After acceptance for admission, students are required to obtain the following laboratory tests: CBC, Urinalysis, Tuberculosis Skin Test, Rubella and Rubeola Titre. In addition, proof of immunity to hepatitis and tetanus must be provided. CPR certification for health professionals is also required. |
