Medical Technology Program

The Bachelor of Science degree is earned with a major in medical technology. Students in this program register with the biology area.

Internship: 36 hours

At the end of the junior year, the student is expected to have earned a total of 92 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 3.0. A twelve-month internship is then taken in the laboratory of an approved hospital; a maximum of 30 internship credit hours are accepted by the University an applied toward the major. Brescia University is affiliated with Owensboro Mercy Health System, Owensboro, Kentucky; and with the University of Louisville whose affiliations include Jewish Hospital, Norton-Kosair Children’s Hospital, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Humana Hospital University, and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Louisville. Internship does not count as resident credit.
