The nurse aide course consists of seventy-five (75) hours. Fifty-nine (59) hours are spent in the classroom and laboratory followed by sixteen (16) hours in a clinical setting supervised by the instructor. After satisfactory completion of the course, the nurse aide will be eligible to take the competency evaluation. After satisfactory completion of the competency evaluation, the Technical College Branch forward to the registry, the nurse aides name and social security number to be maintained on the registry.
