ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN HEALTHCARE INFORMATION SYSTEMS:

A two year nationally accredited program preparing the student to work as a health information technician. The technician is responsible for maintaining components of health information systems consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, accreditation and regulatory requirements of the healthcare delivery system in a variety of health care settings. Upon completion, the graduate is eligible to take the certification exam. Admission to the program is competitive.
