The Clinical Laboratory Science program prepares the student as a clinical laboratory scientist (previously titled Medical Technologist). The clinical laboratory scientist performs laboratory testing which is essential to diagnosis and treatment of disease. Laboratory studies include physical and chemical examination of blood and other body fluids, isolation and identification of pathogenic microorganisms and the processing of blood and blood products for transfusion.
