EMTs. Check with the college you choose to see which program they offer. Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) – Provides basic patient assessments, extrication, basic life support emergency care and transportation to victims of accidents and medical emergencies. May work for ambulance services, municipal fire companies, hospital emergency departments and urgent care centers. and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) – Provides patient assessment, advanced life support, emergency care and transportation to victims of accidents and medical emergencies. May work for ambulance services, municipal fire companies, hospital emergency departments and urgent care centers.
